ROOTED IN THE CHANNEL ISLANDS
Good employment is more than a promise.
Make it part of everyday working life.
GOOD INTENTIONS. REAL PROGRESS.
Your people experience your culture every day. In the decisions you make. The way you listen. The support you give.
Starlight helps employers understand where they are now, identify what needs to change and demonstrate the difference they make. Twelve practical standards turn that commitment into a clear path forward.
A programme for honest reflection and continuous improvement, with requirements proportionate to your organisation’s size, complexity and risks.

THE FRAMEWORK
From the first interview to the last working day, good employment is shaped by what happens in practice.
Explore the questions behind each standard.
Find your starting point ↗Can people speak honestly, challenge decisions and raise concerns without fear of negative consequences?
Can people work responsibly without being expected to absorb every demand placed on them?
Do people have the clarity, authority and trust they need to do their jobs well?
Do decisions have clear ownership, and can they be challenged fairly?
Can people disconnect from work without the organisation depending on their continued availability?
Do working practices recognise different circumstances, needs and ways of working?
Are we developing people, or simply relying on capable employees to keep carrying more?
Does the way we recruit reflect the organisation we claim to be?
Are leaders accountable for how they achieve results, as well as the results themselves?
Can the organisation function without repeatedly relying on the same people to rescue it?
Does HR help managers own their responsibilities?
Does the employee experience support the promises the organisation makes?
